Job summary

Allied Universal in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Security Officer Patrol to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sectors. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver friendly service to customers and staff.

This full-time role offers a pay rate of $17.00 per hour with weekly pay, and a schedule that includes DayTime and various evening shifts. Allied Universal provides training, growth opportunities, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and professionally following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail area and perimeters to deter unwanted behavior.
• Observe and report security conditions, violations, hazards, and suspicious activity to management.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports per site and company requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and/or store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unwanted behavior.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious activity to site management and appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
