Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Visitor Management in Voorhees, NJ. You will greet visitors, verify credentials, and manage access at a technology/telecom location, while maintaining a safe, professional front desk environment.

Role requires strong customer service, basic computer use, and ability to respond calmly to incidents. Pay is $19.35 per hour with a flexible day schedule and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Monitor access points, reception-area activity, and available security-related systems, reporting unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalating matters as needed.
• Support a professional front-desk environment by providing directions, answering routine inquiries, coordinating with site personnel, and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
