Job summary

Allied Universal in Burlington, NJ is seeking a Part Time Front Desk Security Officer to greet visitors, manage access, monitor security systems, and provide exceptional customer service at a retail location.

You will serve as a visible, professional presence, communicate clearly with guests and staff, and respond to incidents as needed. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, members, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, front-desk policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet and direct visitors, verify access credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Monitor front-desk activity, access points, cameras, alarms, and/or communication systems, reporting unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming presence at the front desk while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting a positive retail location experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
