Job summary

Allied Universal, in Beaumont, TX, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Visitor Management). You will protect clients across government locations by controlling access, greeting visitors, and enforcing site procedures, while maintaining a professional demeanor and rapid response to incidents.

This role offers flexible day shifts, training opportunities, and access to our shift-claiming platform. A valid guard license or license in progress is preferred, with a minimum 6 months security

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• State, county, or city security license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, and the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with established procedures, directing visitors to appropriate courthouse locations as needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate access-related logs, visitor records, and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned courthouse areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
