Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by enforcing access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of commercial property areas to identify security concerns.
• Communicate professionally to deter unauthorized access and maintain a welcoming environment.

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Control in Temple, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.79 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access‑related logs and records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property areas, including entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations, to identify and report security‑related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with building occupants and visitors while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
