Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Credential Reconciliation to protect clients across various industries. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and deliver professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and airport stakeholders while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles, and maintain accurate access-control logs and records.
• Screen and direct visitors and vendors in accordance with established government and airport facility procedures, escalating access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting observations promptly.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned airport facility areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
