Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Visitor Access in Goose Creek, SC to welcome visitors, verify IDs, issue visitor badges, monitor access points, and maintain a safe, professional front-desk presence in a busy facility. Schedule includes Mon, Sat, Sun 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM; pay is $18.30 per hour.

A high school diploma and at least 1 year of security-related experience are preferred; background checks and drug screening are required in compliance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Manage the front desk, greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, communications systems, and applicable security-related equipment; report unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain a professional presence at the front desk to help deter unauthorized access and support a welcoming, orderly environment.

Pay Rate: $18.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
