Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Visitor Access) in Goose Creek, SC. You will welcome visitors, manage access control, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and employees at a front desk location in a professional manner.
• Verify identification, follow site-specific entry procedures, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor records.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting visitors, employees, and contractors in a professional manner at a front desk location.
• Manage visitor access by verifying identification, following site-specific entry procedures, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and communication systems as assigned; report unusual activity or security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Support site-specific policies and security-related procedures while maintaining a professional, welcoming front desk presence.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
