Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for vehicle patrol in Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires a valid Class B license with passenger endorsement and a DoD Secret Clearance.

You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents as part of a supportive team focused on safety and customer service. The position offers a flexible weekend schedule (Sat-Sun 7:00 AM–3:00 PM) and a pay rate of $24.28 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Must possess a valid Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and document events as required.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Possess a valid Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
