Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and maritime personnel by following site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of port facilities, terminals, parking areas, access points, waterside perimeters, and surrounding property to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, vendors, drivers, and visitors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Report suspicious activity, hazards, damaged property, and other security concerns through established procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or maritime personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, terminals, parking areas, access points, waterside perimeters, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, vendors, drivers, and visitors in accordance with established site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Report suspicious activity, hazards, damaged property, and other security-related concerns through established communication and reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
