Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a part-time Security Officer to perform TWIC alarm panel patrols at an industrial facility. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, and support access control while maintaining a visible presence.

The role offers flexible scheduling with evenings and weekends, and opportunities to grow through training and our shift-claim platform. Pay is $16.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Lift up to 20 pounds.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver's license for driving roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and access concerns following procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, areas, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor and control access for employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support access control activities. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access for employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements, maintaining accurate logs and documentation.
• Report observations, incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
