Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a residential site in Los Angeles, CA. You will patrol, deter incidents, monitor access, and communicate professionally with residents and staff. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities through the Claim a Shift platform.

Pay rate is $22.90 per hour. Minimum requirements include at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and a background check. Driving positions require a valid license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to residential incidents, access concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
