Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time, Unarmed Route Patrol Driver) in Pacific Palisades, CA. You will monitor and patrol utility locations, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a visible security presence while complying with company values.

A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background checks are required. Schedule includes daytime and weekend shifts with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver license
• Guard Card or license preferred
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Background check will be conducted
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and the public while following site-specific procedures and security policies at a utility infrastructure location.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response as directed.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate observations to supervisors and site representatives

This driving position requires a valid driver's license. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a utility infrastructure location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response activities as directed.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and security-related information to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
