Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Culver City, CA to protect and assist employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused site.

You will perform routine unarmed patrols, monitor access, document incidents, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to site policies and safety procedures. A valid driver’s license, 1 year security experience and a high school diploma are preferred, with CPR/First Aid a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused site by carrying out security-related procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential verification and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
