Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for a Public Area Patrol role in Whitsett, North Carolina. You will monitor and protect clients across tech/media/telecom locations, maintain a visible presence, and document activity using a computer or tablet.

The schedule is set for weekend nights Fri-Sun 12:00 AM to 08:00 AM with a pay rate of $16.89 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a tech/media/telecom location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and report irregularities to site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following site protocols.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift logs and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $16.89 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, parking facilities, loading areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
