Job summary

Allied Universal in Whitsett, NC is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor and safeguard a technology location. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, and maintain a visible presence.

You will patrol assigned areas, control access, respond to alarms, and complete accurate reports. Minimum requirements include a HS diploma and ability to pass background checks; pay is $16.48 per hour with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology location by carrying out security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices and surrounding areas, reporting unusual conditions or concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity to deter unauthorized entry and support a professional workplace.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report observations to site contacts or responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs related to patrols, incidents, and access concerns.

Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Tue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, data-sensitive areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting a professional workplace environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs related to patrols, incidents, access concerns, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
