Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Checks) in Chicago, IL. You will patrol and protect client sites, maintain a visible security presence, and provide excellent customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen is required as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations, reporting observations through established site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and delivery activity while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. What You’ll Do:
