Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami, FL is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer with at least two years in security to join our patrol team. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine foot patrols of commercial properties, and provide visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

This role offers weekend shifts and access to our Claim a Shift platform. A high school diploma and background check are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial properties to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and document actions taken.
• Prepare daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs per site requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, loading zones, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
