Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Hershey, PA to protect clients across industries, including food and beverage. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access points, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism while documenting activities on a tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct routine unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, offices and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify site contacts and responders as needed.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately in required logs and reports.

You will use computer or tablet tools to document activities and communicate clearly while delivering exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.52 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with security protocols and the ability to manage access to facilities effectively.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Candidates must be comfortable using computers or tablets for daily tasks. Proficiency in basic software applications, email communication, and online collaboration tools is essential for success in our work environment.

• Customer Service Experience (B219) Candidates should possess a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. Experience in handling inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support is crucial for roles that involve direct customer interaction.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, offices, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, and vendors entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and access-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
