Job summary

Allied Universal in Washington, DC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sites. You will monitor access, conduct patrols, and deliver customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role offers a flexible weekend schedule (Sat-Sun) with a pay rate of $21.06 per hour. Training and growth opportunities are provided through our Claim a Shift platform and career development programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $21.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology and telecommunications facilities, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, assisting with credential verification and visitor management procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain professional communications with site contacts, employees, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
