Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thursday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Friday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government office location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as required, maintain visitor records, and communicate facility rules and directions in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies when needed.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and maintain required armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
