Allied Universal in New Kensington, PA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable security at an industrial site with flexible hours and opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

This role features anchor shifts, a base schedule, and a path to full‑time work, plus benefits and paid training. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and deliver customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, perimeter, access points, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Observation in New Kensington, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
