Qualifications

• At least 3 years of security-related, military, or law enforcement experience, or an associate’s degree in criminal justice.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as part of employment.
• Drug screen may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, residents, employees, and the public by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and escalations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of public areas, facilities, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, property damage, and policy violations to relevant personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and shift communications per Allied Universal procedures.

Pay Rate: $21.86 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 05:30 PM - 04:00 AM
• Sat 05:30 PM - 04:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, residents, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of public areas, facilities, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, property damage, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of security-related, military, or law enforcement experience, or an associate’s degree in criminal justice.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
