Qualifications

• Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• Background check and drug screen required where allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, residents, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of public areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, public-service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to supervisors and authorized site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least three years of security-related, military, or law enforcement experience, or an associate’s degree in criminal justice.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and a baton is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
