Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer to monitor facilities, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service. You will perform routine patrols, control access, and respond to alarms in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with controlled entry and logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, documenting observations.
• Communicate clearly with site contacts and complete required reports per policies.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including production, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with controlled entry and maintaining accurate logs as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site contacts, following Allied Universal and client policies, and completing required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
