Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX. Pay rate is $16.50 per hour. The position includes a fixed schedule with anchoring shifts and a program to claim extra shifts; ideal for those seeking part-time work with potential for more hours

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and facility perimeter.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and vendor access, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by giving directions and assisting with routine inquiries.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Assurance in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and vendor access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and reporting security-related concerns according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
