Allied Universal in Hershey, PA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver. You will protect clients at a food and beverage production location, perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist with access control, and provide excellent customer service.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ years of age (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel, following site policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and according to site procedures.
• Conduct routine and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document entries and incidents.
• Assist with traffic flow and delivery coordination around shipping/receiving areas.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.52 / Hour

1. Valid Driver's License:

   • All candidates must possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is essential for roles that require travel or the operation of company vehicles.

2. Access Control/Badge Experience:

   • Candidates should have experience with access control systems and badge management (B201). Familiarity with security protocols and procedures is crucial for maintaining a safe work environment.

3. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet:

   • Proficiency in using computers or tablets (B204) is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to navigate software applications and perform tasks efficiently using digital devices.

4. Customer Service Experience:

   • A background in customer service (B219) is essential for roles that involve direct interaction with clients or customers. Candidates should exhibit strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, offices, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document entries, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with site requirements.
• Assist with traffic flow and delivery coordination around shipping and receiving areas while maintaining awareness of security‑related conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
