Allied Universal in San Francisco, CA seeks a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to serve tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location. You will monitor entrances, perform patrols, and maintain a welcoming environment while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers $28.00 per hour and a night-time schedule; you can build a flexible work plan with our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• 1+ year security experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by applying security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular/random patrols of interiors, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

• Maintain professional presence and communicate with management/ responders; complete daily reports.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, parking areas, loading zones, common areas, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify access credentials in accordance with site-specific requirements and document observations in required reports.
• Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with property management and/or emergency responders, and complete daily activity reports and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
