Job summary

Allied Universal in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol and protect a technology-focused site. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while maintaining a visible security presence and following site procedures.

The role offers a flexible schedule with set evening shifts and opportunities to learn the Claim a Shift platform, delivering reliable security services and a safe environment for the client and staff.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious behavior, access issues, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
