Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Site Assessment in San Carlos, CA. You will safeguard clients across commercial real estate and related environments, maintaining a visible presence and delivering outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff.

This Part Time position offers flexible DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:30 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:30 AM shifts and uses our Claim a Shift platform to explore new roles.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied University will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations; may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, lobbies, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report access control, property condition, and maintenance‑related concerns in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications for Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied University will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
