As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. Pay Rate: $20.08 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 PM - 02:00 AMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or government personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials, permits, and/or visitor authorizations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and public-service agencies.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
