Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Security Officer for part-time unarmed patrol and computer operations. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service.

The role offers flexible daytime/evening shifts with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Candidates should be at least 18 and have a high school diploma; a background check and drug screen are required; a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a food and beverage location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, production or service areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter, to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, vendor, and delivery screening procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
