Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a part-time Enhanced Security Officer in Manassas, VA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to boost earnings and gain experience.

You’ll provide customer service to residents and staff, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and follow procedures.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and maintain accurate daily activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Communications in Manassas, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

$20.90 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Comfortably use a computer or tablet.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
