Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Communications Security Officer in Chesapeake, VA. You will patrol, deter incidents, and maintain a visible presence while delivering professional service in aerospace/defense environments.

You will work a part-time schedule with shifts including day-time hours and have access to our shift-claim platform to build your schedule. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation and communicate observations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
