Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in San Francisco, CA. You will patrol commercial properties, deter incidents, monitor access points and support badge and access control activities while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious conditions or maintenance concerns, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while following post orders and communicating with property management and emergency responders as needed.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.li>
