• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms, notifying site contacts or responders as needed.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document entries, incidents, and observations in required reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Help maintain an orderly environment by communicating professionally with occupants and visitors and reporting maintenance, access control, and other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
