Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol in San Diego, CA. You will patrol commercial real estate locations, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service to tenants and visitors.

Schedule offers daytime and weekend shifts with a competitive hourly rate. The role requires at least 6 months of security experience, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and 18+ years of age.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Pass a background investigation as required by law.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of building areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and document incidents and observations per site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and first responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, documenting incidents, maintenance concerns, and security-related observations in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and first responders as needed while maintaining accurate activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
