Job summary

Allied Universal in Honolulu, HI seeks a Security Officer (Part Time, Unarmed) to protect guests and property at a luxury hotel and resort. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to alarms while delivering courteous service.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.

You will respond to alarms and routine concerns, communicate professionally with guests and team members, and deliver service with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a luxury hotel and resort location.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, courteous, and problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, public spaces, employee areas, parking locations, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, vendor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with hotel personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
