Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Support) in Honolulu, HI. The role entails protecting clients, performing patrols, monitoring access points, and delivering excellent customer service across government sites.

Hours are set as DayTime and weekend shifts, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. You will report to site leadership and support daily operations via our Claim a Shift platform, while adhering to post orders and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to government personnel, visitors, and the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of traffic management facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, vehicle and pedestrian activity, and restricted areas in accordance with established post orders and government-site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, traffic-related disruptions, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

What You'll Do:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
