Qualifications

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

• Thur 05:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Fri 05:00 AM - 09:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a utility operations location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned utility facilities to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document entries, incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with site emergency protocols as directed.
• Maintain a professional presence while reporting hazards, damaged property, unauthorized access attempts, and other security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
