Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Part Time Patrol Response in Jacksonville, FL. You will safeguard clients across utilities and other sectors, maintain a strong visible presence, and support access control and site operations.

The role is part-time with a set daytime and weekend schedule. A minimum of one year in armed security or related fields is preferred, with required background checks and a valid license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Armed guard card/license preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.
• Security training programs may be required.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following security procedures and site policies, and respond to emergencies when appropriate.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitors and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate patrol and incident reports and maintain readiness of equipment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and maintain readiness of assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
