Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to background investigation by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training.

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Fri 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Sat 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Sun 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, parking areas, access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted utility infrastructure areas, verify authorization as required, and report access concerns or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
