• Minimum 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Access control or badge experience, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Background checks may consider criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, substations, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain logs, and direct authorized personnel according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities per established procedures.
• Observe and report hazards, damaged infrastructure, suspicious activity, and policy violations to support continuity of operations and security needs.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
