Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed at our Arlington, VA site. The role provides reliable, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts to boost earnings while gaining hands-on security experience.

The position pays $21.63 per hour with a Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM schedule and a pathway to full-time opportunities through training and internal advancement. Strong reliability and customer service focus are essential.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Accountability in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

$21.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, observe visitor and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
