Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Services Patrol. You will provide security and customer service at a corporate technology location, with fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

The role offers a pay rate of $21.75 per hour, a schedule including Saturday night shift, and the chance to move into a full-time schedule as openings appear. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge verification.
• Proficient with using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screen per policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a corporate technology location.
• Respond to incidents calmly, escalate information per site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor and report unusual activity and maintenance concerns to site contacts.
• Assist with visitor management, badge verification, and access procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Services Patrol in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related conditions to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Independent leadership.
• Assist with visitor management, badge and credential verification, and access procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
