Allied Universal in Collins, MS is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol. This role provides flexible, reliable hours at a fixed site with opportunities to pick extra shifts via the scheduling platform.

You will protect people and property, monitor access, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents while maintaining logs. Previous security experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required locally.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns with calm, problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols across production, storage, parking and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; document incidents and communicate with site contacts.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and complete security-related reports.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in COLLINS, MS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production, storage, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, documenting incidents and communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a professional environment by maintaining accurate activity logs and completing required reports for security‑related incidents and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
