Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time, unarmed Security Officer in Birmingham, AL. You will patrol financial institutions, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while monitoring access points and reporting security concerns.

The position offers a Saturday-Sunday overnight schedule and opportunities to grow with our smart tools and training programs. A background check and drug screening are required by law where permitted.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs (preferred).
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site policies and financial institution protocols.
• Document incidents, patrols, and unusual activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding personnel.

• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
