Allied Universal is looking for a part-time Security Guard Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Birmingham, AL. You will patrol commercial real estate, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service, while maintaining a professional presence.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, reporting incidents, and following site procedures. Must meet minimum requirements and be able to pass a background check and drug screen where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per laws.
• Background-eligible with criminal histories in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to identify hazards.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming environment and deter unauthorized access.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout commercial property buildings, parking areas, loading docks, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
