Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for a hospital location in Cleveland, OH. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, and maintain a visible security presence to protect patients, visitors, and staff.

You will perform health-related entry checks, monitor access points, and respond to emergencies, while documenting activities and following site policies. The role includes a fixed night schedule and opportunities for growth within our security team.

Qualifications

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and report details to site personnel or first responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas and document observations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and adherence to site procedures.
• Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift documentation per Allied Universal rules.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM


• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM


• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.


• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant information to appropriate site personnel and/or first responders.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.


• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, patient transport routes, and adherence to site access procedures.


• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
