Allied Universal in Whitsett, NC seeks a Security Officer, Part Time Unarmed Customer Support at a technology location. You will provide customer service, monitor access, and patrol to deter incidents while upholding safety and integrity.

Hours are limited to a part-time schedule (Wed 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Sun 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM) with opportunities to grow through our Shift-claim platform and ongoing training. Equal opportunity employer.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, use computer or tablet systems as needed, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs and reports.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, assisting with requests, and communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
